If you see an “Invalid Outlook Permissions” error when trying to connect your calendar, it means your organization’s Microsoft 365 / Entra administrator must approve the Ambient Outlook Integration.

Option 1: Admin Approval During Setup (Easiest)

  1. IT Admins: Create an Ambient account at app.ambient.us

  2. Attempt to connect Outlook Calendar

  3. You will be prompted with an Approve option

  4. Approve, and the connection will be enabled for your org

Option 2: Manual Approval in Microsoft Entra

If you’d prefer to grant consent directly:

  1. Admins: Go to the Microsoft Entra Admin Center.

  2. Retrieve your Tenant ID.

  3. Replace {organization} with your Tenant ID in this URL:

    https://login.microsoftonline.com/{organization}/adminconsent?client_id=eb396d58-bc5b-4919-a82b-87219f14ac44
  4. Open the updated URL in your browser and follow the prompts to approve the Ambient Outlook Integration.

Integration Details (for Admins)

  • App Name: Ambient Outlook Integration

  • Application ID: eb396d58-bc5b-4919-a82b-87219f14ac44

  • Object ID: 1bd58909-a8c3-4e98-a388-0b114c1321dd

✅ Once approved by an Admin, all users in your organization will be able to connect their Outlook calendars to Ambient without additional IT steps.
