Welcome! This guide will walk you through the controls available for managing Ambient assistants during your meetings. Whether you're using a calendar integration or the on-demand method, we've got you covered.

Calendar-Based Controls

  1. Scheduled Recording:

    • If you’ve set up Ambient to join a meeting via your calendar, the calendar event will indicate, “Recording is scheduled to start.” Once the meeting begins, the status will change to “Recording in progress.”

  2. Stopping Ambient:

    • If Ambient is recording in a meeting and you want it to leave, open the relevant calendar event.

    • Click the Stop button.

    • Confirm your action, and Ambient will leave the meeting immediately.

On-Demand Controls

  1. Joining a Meeting:

    • For ad hoc or on-demand use, paste the meeting URL (Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet) into the designated field in Ambient’s interface.

    • Click Invite, and the Ambient assistant will attempt to join the meeting.

    • As the meeting host, you’ll need to permit the assistant to join. Approve the request, and Ambient will start recording.

  2. Stopping Ambient:

    • To stop an on-demand assistant, click the Stop button in the Ambient interface.

    • Confirm the action, and Ambient will exit the meeting.

Key Notes

  • You can control Ambient’s participation directly from the calendar event or the on-demand interface.

  • Always ensure you have the necessary permissions to record in meetings.

We hope this helps you manage Ambient assistants effectively. If you have additional questions, feel free to reach out to our support team!
